What is a forklift licence?
A forklift licence consists of two parts, the F endorsement and the OSH certificate. The OSH certificate entitles you to drive a forklift. The F endorsement entitles you to drive a forklift where there may be public or on public roads. The OSH certificate expires every 3 years, while the F endorsement does not expire. OSH is a term that is used in the industry to refer to a division of the Department of Labour.
Am I eligible?
If you have a current full New Zealand drivers licence, you are eligible to receive both the F endorsement and the OSH certificate. However, if you only have your learners or restricted licence, you only qualify for the OSH certificate.
What type of forklifts can I be trained for?
Our standard training is for counterbalanced forklifts, however we also offer specialist training for reach forklifts and container top loaders. Please let us know if you require training that is not counterbalanced.
How much does it cost?
Our public and one off client rates are:
OSH only course is: $200 plus GST (from 8am to 2pm)
OSH refresher courses are $120 plus GST (from 8am to 2pm)
F Endorsement cost is $40 plus GST (approx 2pm - 4pm)Can I have this course added to my record of learning?
Yes. The unit standards are:
- Forklift Endorsement US 18496
- OSH - Operate a powered industrial lift truck US 10851 (on request)
